Umega Lettings are on a mission to fix the lettings industry by focusing on service and transparency. Their customer-centric approach and off-beat personality had resulted in fast growth, however, their distinctive visual identity was beginning to hold them back.
They hired us to re-invigorate their visual branding to better reflect the business’ current situation and future growth ambitions. The challenge was to help the brand ‘grow up’ without losing its soul.
We performed a detail audit of existing brand assets and researched their current and future target customers and competitors in depth. Overall the current identity was considered busy, confusing and a little childish - no longer fitting Umega’s position.
We worked with Umega to agree which aspects of their identity to treasure and which to lose. We agreed to hero the letter ‘U’ and their distinct shade of purple, while giving the logo a more premium and professional treatment.
Colour, typography, pattern and photographic style were all brought together in a versatile new visual identity system. Personality was retained through tone of voice and quirky supporting visuals.
We applied the new identity to their property marketing boards, their highly visible fleet of vehicles , business stationery, marketing materials and key documents.
We also produced a set of brand guidelines to help Umega take ownership of the identity and continue to deploy it with their in-house team.
Umega were thrilled with the new identity and the business has grown rapidly since, expanding into new offices and wining multiple awards including Residential Lettings Team of the Year 2018, 2019 and 2020!
